Looking beautiful on your wedding is surely a high priority for you. Who will help you do that? How will you wear your hair? How far in advance should you book an appointment? We've included some FAQ's and the answers provided by wedding professionals who do this every day:
Answer: It’s not always realistic for you to grow out super short hair to long lengths within the time frame of planning your wedding. You can begin growing your hair out now and add extensions or hair pieces later on if your hair is still not at your desired length. Also, hair grows about ¼ to ½ an inch per month, so if your wedding is six months from now, you can expect your hair to grow a total of 1 ½ to 3 inches by then. Keep in mind that you still need regular trims (about every 6-8 weeks) to keep your hair in a healthy state.
- "How far in advance should I schedule my hair appointment?"
Answer: I’d suggest scheduling it as soon as possible. Consider at least 3-6 months before your wedding day. That way you will not only be getting the exact time you want and need for your appointment, but other arrangements that need doing can easily be made around your timing.
Here are some other questions to ask when interviewing wedding hair stylists:
- Is a trial wedding hair style necessary?
- What should I do the day of my wedding to be prepared to have my hair styled?
- How long have you been doing wedding hair?
- Will you come to my wedding suite or do I need to come to you?
- How many stylists can we get at once? I want all of the girls in my wedding party to get their hair done at once.
